Ghoomar Movie Review: Cricket and cinema have always been working to attract the audience. But whenever the stories of cricket are shown in the cinema, it is not necessary that they always loot the praises by hitting tremendous sixes in the audience. Director R. Similar is the combination of Abhishek Bachchan and Sayami Kher in ‘Ghoomar Jaye’, which is the story of a female creator. ‘Ghoomar’ is a beautiful story adorned with faith, trust and the flavor of cricket, which has brought a dose of entertainment together. What does the story say: This is the story of Anina Dixit (Syami Kher), who is a great batter and is all set to play international cricket. Anina was about to set off on this journey when her life changes completely due to an accident. Losing all hope, Anina enters Padma Singh Sodhi aka Paddy Sir (Abhishek Bachchan), who not only brings back her lost confidence but also helps her fulfill her dream of playing for the country. We do. Ghoomar is different from the film stories of cricket

But ‘Ghoomar’ talks different and ahead of any female sports film till now. The girl is playing cricket, her family members are not agreeing or she is getting taunted at various places, she has to become a victim of politics after selection… ‘Ghoomar’ doesn’t even touch any of these things.
Shabana Azmi will also be seen in ‘Ghoomar’ along with Abhishek and Sayami.
In the beginning of the story, Anina’s grandmother i.e. Shabana Azmi is covering her score in every match with her and on the other hand, Anina’s father is cooking food for his 2 sons and a daughter at home. These things of ‘Ghoomar’ make this film special and different. Often films based on sports become exactly the same after a point, but ‘Ghoomar’ has the ability to keep you hooked from beginning to end.
Ear breaking background music
While the first half of the film serves to cook the story, there are many high points in the second half. The second half is quite funny. The best thing about the film is that you will not find ear-bud background music anywhere in the entire film. Forced poverty has neither been shown in any part of the story nor is there an attempt to pour it into the ears through BGM.
Abhishek will win hearts, it is guaranteed
Talking about acting, Sayami Khair has been excellent in the character of Anina. He himself is a cricketer and that is why he has caught the body language of the cricketer very well. Paddy Sir turned Abhishek Bachchan has won hearts in the film, whenever he appears on the screen, you listen carefully to everything he says. In the film, Abhishek has given a powerful monologue on the logic and magic of life. After listening to this again and again only one voice comes from the heart, Abhishek aap aap zindagi films karo yaar… Tortur karne wala coach and usse jhelna player is a very favorite combination of films, but Abhishek has played this style very well. Abhishek has breathed life into this film with his acting. On the other hand, Shabana Azmi has appeared in the role of a strong woman in this film other than ‘Rocky and Rani’s love story’, whose knowledge of cricket is more than any man in her house.
Another biggest feature of ‘Ghoomar’ is the dialogues of the film, which add life to the story. The one-liners of the film are very funny. As much as the performances have done the work of taking the story forward and making it interesting, equally amazing is the writing of the film, which gives you full opportunity to laugh and get emotional in every part of the story. Although the match shown in the second half of the story has been shown completely filmy. 4 stars to this film from my side.
